As you can see, the twins haven't lost any of their mischief and bond!
When we finally got our boat back it looked splendid. I wish it had been allowed to have just a little longer to harden off before we had to remove it from the wharf, but the caretaker, with whom we had, unfortunately, had a disagreement a couple of days before (not sure how we managed to last that long before we bit back) insisted we moved it immediately!
We made our way up to Barby Moorings where we had arranged to moor the boat while Stewart was away in London for 3 weeks (I didn't want to be out on the cut alone).
The site is far from finished and very near the motorway, however, the concepts they are trying to achieve are right up my street with the heating in the main building (once it is built) being fueled by the water in the marina ie a heat sink. All the boats are moored front end in which is very unusual. This is because the edges will not be hard edged, but planted with reeds.
The weather while I've been here has been dreadful; cold, wet and windy. However I have coped very well and Stewart should be proud of me! The people here are warm and friendly and above all very helpful. I hope we will come back here.
The dogs have helped keep the Canada Geese away and definitely enjoyed the task. The owners, in turn, have been grateful! We even had cousin Bertie to stay for a couple of days... he only fell in once!

Like it, especially the pics :)
